The workshop analyses the various overtones singing techniques, the physiological and psychic processes connected to this singing modality, and takes into consideration the possibility of using them to achieve that particular state we call ā€œmeditationā€, a complex mental process involving changes in cognition, sensory perception, affect, hormones, and autonomic activity. The basic techniques are illustrated and taught in a simple and gradual way, allowing anyone to gain sufficient skills without any specific competence. Overtones Singing can be an excellent resource for relieving people from the daily stress that is affected today by pandemic.
