In Conversation With: Xijing Chen, Mingming Liu, and Qian Liu

In this event, IAMM will be in conversation with Xijing Chen, Mingming Liu, and Qian Liu. As music therapists, educators, and researchers, Prof. Liu and Dr. Chen will engage with Dr. Qian Liu, a medical doctor, about the development and practice of music and medicine in China.

Mingming Liu is Associate Professor of the Music Therapy Center, Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing, China. She is a registered clinical supervisor of the Chinese Psychological Society, and she is on the Editorial Board of Creative Arts in Education and Therapy, the first journal of arts therapy in China. She devotes herself to music therapy education and helping establish music therapy in general hospitals.
Qian Liu is a medical doctor coming from the Department of Geriatrics, Beijing Tongren Hospital, at Capital Medical University, China. She has done clinical work for 22 years. In recent years, Doctor Liu cooperated with a music therapist to promote the application of music therapy in hospitalized older adults.
Xijing Chen, PhD, MT-BC (China), is Assistant professor at the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and supervisor of Master’s Candidates at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
